Keep Cords From Getting Tangled
In this day and age, everyone has hundreds of cords from their electronics laying around their house. If they’re not already, they are bound to get twisted in a clump of cords. Here are some ways to clear all that cord clutter.
-
Unplug, untangle, and label
To begin with, unplug all your cords from the power strip. Don’t unplug the cord from the device yet! Work your way back to the device to untangle the cords. Once you’re done, add a label to the cord so you know what device it belongs to.
-
Tie them together
Once everything has been untangled, use cable ties or Velcro ties to keep cords together. If you have multiple cords for one device, consider bunching them together. This will make it easier if you need to move the device at any point in the future.
-
Conceal power strips
Power strips filled with cords can make your whole room look messy. Consider purchasing something like a CableBox, which holds a power strip. Wires are then funneled through a small hole, keeping everything organized. If you don’t want to purchase a CableBox, you can make your own! Using a basket with handles, plug the power strip into the wall and place the strip into the basket through the handles. Then, you can plug your cords into the strip and leave them in the basket!
-
Get cords off the floor
Cords left on the floor can get tangled very easily. Consider purchasing a product such as Cable Corral. This screws to the underside of your desk, providing you with a space to drop your cords keep them off the floor.

Find a place for the charging cords
Many of us have tons of chargers left out for our phones, laptops, and e-readers. Gather them together using a cable management system. These have several slots to hold cords and keep them separate and organized!
