The average garbage disposal will last about ten to twelve years. As time goes on, the blades will dull, diminishing the effectiveness of the garbage disposal.

The average lifespan for a washer and dryer is about eight years. If yours are still running past that, then you should consider replacing them before they cause any problems, such as leaks or dryer fires.
